I live in Beaumont, Texas. I am originally from San Antonio, Texas. I love to draw and create new works. I believe in seeing things for more than the face value, more than they first appear. I believe in multiplicity in my art by making more images out of/connected to other images. As you will see in some of my art, I believe things are warped, just like our minds. My 360 Collages are one of my favorites! They are my babies. I have never seen anyone do something like this before. The images are warped and random. The process in which I create them is unique. Not knowing what I am going to draw yet, I start somewhere near the center with an eye. Once the eye is complete, I can see the face it belongs to and after that what it is doing. Once the first image is complete, I imagine it removed leaving just the outline of the drawing. My mind sees this as a puzzle and puts a random image that happens to fit perfectly like a puzzle piece. Once drawn I now have a new shape from the imagined outline of my combined drawings. I then turn the piece back and forth in a 360 till my mind fits another image in when it sees the perfect slot. This process repeats until the whole page is filled. Some of the images are big and some really tiny. I then Ink and color. When looking at these works, you need to turn them to see all of the images in their correct perspective. It's awesome that I have had people put up one on the wall and months later call me to tell me they see more things. What's more I like to use a rotating mirror effect on these and end up making many awesome pieces out of just one. I love to wall mount these, but you need to be able to turn the picture to your perspective to fully enjoy it. But who wants to take it off the wall turn it around and remount it? Not me. So, Necessity being the mother of invention I created a 360 picture frame. Once mounted, you can rotate the frame freely in a full 360 degree range. And where ever you stop the rotation at, it stays. I thinks it is pretty great. Well enough of me tooting my own horn, check out my work. -LF
